Frequently asked questions

What is a passing HPA score?

You need a composite of at least 75 points and you must clear each component's minimum. The categories are Fit to Fight (90 and up), Health Maintenance (75 to 89.9), and Health Concern (below 75).

What is the Fit to Fight standard?

Fit to Fight is a composite of 90 points or higher, the top HPA category.

What events make up the HPA?

Cardio (two-mile run or 20-meter HAMR), a strength event (push-ups or hand-release push-ups), and a core event (sit-ups, cross-leg reverse crunch, or forearm plank).

Is body composition scored in the HPA?

No. Space Force measures waist-to-height ratio as a health check, but it does not affect the HPA composite score.
