About the Navy PRT
The Navy Physical Readiness Test (PRT) has three events: push-ups, the forearm plank, and a cardio event (1.5-mile run, 2-kilometer row, or 500-yard swim). Each scores 0 to 100 and the overall is the average. Every event must reach Satisfactory to pass.

Frequently asked questions
What is a passing Navy PRT score?
Every event must reach the Satisfactory level. Categories run Outstanding (90 and up), Excellent (75 to 89), Good (60 to 74), and Satisfactory, with Probationary below.
What cardio options does the PRT allow?
The 1.5-mile run, the 2-kilometer row, and the 500-yard swim, each with its own scoring table by age and sex. The 12-minute bike is not in the current guide.
When did the plank replace curl-ups?
The forearm plank replaced curl-ups in 2021 and is now the core event, scored by time held.
How is the overall PRT score calculated?
It is the average of your three event scores, and every event must independently reach Satisfactory.
